Our career workshops for Spring 2026
These workshops are aimed at teenagers who want support to get into work and plan for their career. It helps those who:
- Don't know which career path to follow
- Are worried about making the right choices
- Don't know how to write a successful job application
- Are worried about succeeding in interviews
- Are lacking in confidence and need more self-belief to go forward into the world of work
The programme is made up of four 90-minute workshops, delivered face-to-face to a small group and in a classroom setting. You don't have to do all four if you don't wish to - you just choose those most useful for you.
Here’s what our career coaching programme looks like:
Workshop 1 - Getting to know yourself
Before you can even think about the career path you will follow you need to fully understand yourself. I know this sounds daft but it's really important.
After this workshop you will
- Understand the key aspects of your personality type
- Understand your strengths and challenges
- Find out how you come across to others (it won't be what you think)
- Come away feeling more positive about yourself and what makes you unique
Workshop 2 - Building career capital
We all need skills and experience to succeed in getting interesting, well-paid work in our careers.
In this workshop we discover:
- What we mean by career capital
- Why you should not share your plans with family and friends (not just yet anyway)
- How to develop the right mindset for career success
- How to choose the career path you would like to test out first
Workshop 3 - Building your confidence and self-esteem
Most jobs still have to be secured via a formal interivew - in person or online. This can be extremely challenging - especially if you are neurodivergent. But don't worry because I know the tricks and techniques that will give you confidence and ensure your success including:
- A great online profile that will attract employers
- How to write CV's and job applications that get interviews
- Dealing with nerves and how to come across as confident - even when you are feeling anything but confident!
Workshop 4 - Getting y0ur plan together
In order to get offered a job you have to ensure you are the best canditate at the interview. In our final workshop we look at how to maximise your chances:
- How to prepare for an interview
- The best technique to answering questions without fear
- What to do on the day of the interview
- What to do during the interview
- What to do immediately after the interview
